Product Development Manager - Home based Option 3 days per week.
All candidates will be considered with either Product Development or Product Design experience. All candidates with product synergy will be considered too.

Duties & Responsibilities - Product Development Manager
The product Development manager will be creating, developing, and managing existing and new products as part of the new product development team, this includes looking at innovation opportunities as well as range expansions to further increase market share.
* Managing product life cycle from cradle to grave.
* Undertake research on new products and new product sectors along with the sales team to ensure we are maximising sales opportunities with existing clients.
* Working with suppliers to understand capabilities and opportunities for innovation and exclusivity.
* Compiling and comparing supplier information on costings, product specifications, lead times etc. and understanding best supply chain options
* Identifying opportunities for new products into associated markets
* Reporting and analysing existing range performance, ensuring we are managing product through its lifecycle.
* Work closely with the NPD team and attend monthly stakeholder meetings. Fo
* Create and maintain product files and data for upload to business ERP system.
* Support the marketing team with artwork, samples, drawings and supporting documents obtained through the NPD process.
* Liaise with product testing team and sample product reviewing.
* UK business travel and possible European travel to meet with suppliers.
Skill Requirements - Product Development Manager
* High level experience of working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Experience in product development within the cabinet hardware, KBB sector OR a demonstrable transferable skill set will be considered.
* Strong product technical knowledge and understand how products work.
* Ability to negotiate with suppliers and liaise with prospective customers.
* Strong analytical skills, resourceful and have an innovative mind.
* Have a vision to develop new categories with measurable results.
* Strong project management skills being able to take products from concept through to launch.
* Experience in product testing, quality control issues and packaging.
* Ability to build a business case and ROI plans for items and ranges.
