Mechanic / Fitter (PCV / HGV) - multiple opportunities available
Permanent contract with full time hours
Llew Jones Ltd is an ambitious family run business based in Llanrwst, North Wales, operating a mixed fleet of coaches for a range of operators including National Express, Leger Silver Service, Shearings, Arena Travel, Lochs and Glens. The company also supports the local community by providing several local bus services and rail replacement services for Transport for Wales, whilst catering for the various transport needs of the local schools, colleges and private customers.

Following the re-opening of the hospitality sector and the Company's success in diversifying the services it offers, the scope and scale of its operations and associated fleet of vehicles is steadily increasing. As a result, the business has exciting opportunities for Fitters / Mechanics to join its committed and expanding Workshop Team.
The Role - Mechanic / Fitter (PCV / HGV)
As a Workshop Fitter / Mechanic you will be working at our Llanrwst depot and will undertake vehicle inspections and maintenance activities in line with your experience or training on a variety of PCV vehicles. You will be required rectify basic defects and learn to diagnose and solve vehicle issues as part of the Workshop Team.
Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
* Carrying out mechanical inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification
* Keeping a record of labour time and parts used on each vehicle.
* Ensuring vehicle defects are rectified effectively and efficiently by using parts in stock.
* Working positively as a team member by asking for help and sharing knowledge.
* Reporting any defects you notice relating to tools, plant or machinery
* Covering out of hours emergencies as part of the on-call team
Our Requirements - Mechanic / Fitter (PCV / HGV)
* Experience with PCV and/or HGV maintenance
* Willingness to learn and undertake any required training to improve skills and knowledge
* Good communication skills
* Strong work ethic with a positive hands-on and can-do attitude
* Basic IT literacy for recording work undertaken during inspection and maintenance
* Flexibility towards tasks and hours
The Package
* Hourly rate of between GBP10.50 and GBP14.50 level dependent on experience and qualifications. Anticipated annual earnings in the region of GBP24,000 to GBP32,000.
* Permanent contract with full time hours
* Working Monday to Friday with start and finish time to be agreed.
You will also become part of the on-call team (responding to out of hours mechanical emergencies) following all necessary training and will be required for some Saturday work approximately every 1 in 4 weeks.
