Sales Manager

ROLE PURPOSE

The Sales Manager will develop and support global sales process to meet and exceed sales targets, ensure the smooth running and reporting of the sales effort, and make a significant impact on key financial goals

KEY ACTIVITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Work with regional sales teams worldwide, primarily in Asia and the US, to develop and support the sales process to achieve and exceed sales targets

* Ensure that dynamic and high quality sales presentations are kept up to date with the latest technology advancements and market developments

* Setting up and joining meetings to help maximise sales to customers

* Help maximise business opportunities with both new and existing customers

* Develop good relationships globally to maximise opportunities for both licensing and adoption opportunities

* Organise and report the company sales pipeline

* Reporting and collating information for internal management reviews

* Ensure a good understanding of the industry ecosystem and maintain a strong network

* Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

KEY COMPETENCIES

(skills and abilities necessary to successfully carry out the role)

* A degree in a relevant engineering, science or business discipline

* At least 5 years' experience in a technical sales environment

* Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals for high technology products

* Good understanding of project, risk management and customer management

* Ability to create and deliver high quality market and technical sales presentations

* A clear communicator with excellent customer facing skills

* Exhibit gravitas and able to influence partners and customers to achieve successful outcomes

* Robust & resilient character

* Have a positive and 'can do' attitude

* Able to travel to America or Asia on a frequent basis (2 weeks away in every 6 weeks on average)
