Assets Surveyor - Part time contract - 6 months plus
A flexible part-time contract surveying modern commercial and industrial assets for condition and compliance.
Your New Role
An award winning team of commercial property specialists are looking for the support of an experienced Building / Assets Surveyor. With a broad range of commercial assets, they provide a professional service to tenants across a premium property portfolio of modern serviced office space and industrial units - ranging from 75 square feet to over 8000 sq ft. This includes shared services and communal spaces such as car parks, access roads, meeting facilities and receptions. In addition to providing a full range of facilities and building management services.
This is an part-time interim opportunity, circa 3 days a week and expected to last for 6 months, with potential to extend for the right person. You will be tasked with maintenance, inspection and compliance surveying of assets, in addition to project management of any remedial work.
These will include such things as;
* Repairs and building compliance at several sites,
* Streetlighting replacements
* Car park surfacing and repair,
* Project works (demolition & refurbishment),
* Road and foot path inspections
* Contractor management and inspecting completed works,
* H&S works.
Assets are located across Norfolk, so you will need to be flexible and able to travel around the county as required. The majority of the role will be spent out on site visits and associated admin in respect of the role. Therefore there is the potential to work from home but attend client offices if required for meetings (covid allowing).
We are interested in speaking to degree qualified building surveyors with at least 3 year experience in Commercial and Industrial building surveying including compliance works. You will be working via an umbrella company/limited company and receive an hourly rate circa GBP18 - GBP22 per hour depending on experience. Business miles and expenses will be paid in addition to rates.
