Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Care Coordinator who will help support the Care Team in delivering outstanding care. This is a demanding and challenging role within our busy office environment, focusing on delivering a working schedule for clients and Care Support Workers every week. There are going to be many occasions where you will be faced with multiple requests, and the ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure is key. Have you managed over 1,000 hours a week? The Role

* Organise and coordinate weekly Care Support Workers rotas and ensure they are sent out on time.

* Ensure schedules are prepared considering travel time, holidays, training, and last-minute cancellations

* Ensure supported individuals schedules are matched to their needs, and ensure consistency of support where this is possible. with

* Develop excellent relationships with Care Support Workers, supported individuals and their wider support network so that they have positive experiences.

* Work with the recruitment manager to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels are met

* Work with Care Team to ensure new and existing care packages can be resourced and scheduled on a timely basis

* Add and maintain all client and Care Support Worker information onto to the electronic scheduling system

* To work closely with the team in coordinating all care services

* Participate in the on-call rota

* To assist with maintenance of records, in a written or computerised format

* Deal promptly and appropriately with any queries received or concerns raised

* To ensure compliance and quality assurance is met in line with company procedures and CQC regulations

* To provide cover in other business areas as and when required

* Ensure that all associated information is recorded accurately and promptly

Experience and Personal Attributes

* Preferably at least 1 year of experience working in a scheduling role within a home care or similar environment

* Excellent IT skills, including excel and email and being able to quickly learn the other in-house systems

* Experience working with Electronic Monitoring System - preferably Access Care Planning / People Planner

* This can be a highly challenging and sometimes demanding role and therefore you should be highly resilient, positive and have excellent communications skills.

* You should be logical, analytical, well organised as well being able to deal with a daily issue that may land on your desk

* Being a team player as you will have to work with the care and recruitment team on a weekly basis

* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

* Logical and analytical with the ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.

* Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure

* Experience in delivering and managing care support services of over 1000 hours per week

* Understanding of principles of good care.

* Able to prioritise, particularly under pressure.

* Flexible; willing and able to work outside normal hours when requested.
