My client, an industry leading precision engineering company in Somerset have a fantastic job opportunity for a Plant Manager to join their growing team.
The Plant Manager, based in Somerset will report into the Vice President of Operations and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the manufacturing and engineering operations and directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities.
You will be responsible for planning and directing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization, along with driving the continuous improvement of manufacturing quality, cost and on-time delivery of production customer products and managing company's inventory, scrap, warranty plans, operations budgets and objectives. You will leads new process development efforts in a multi-disciplinary team environment, including research, analysis, and definition of requirements, design of solutions that work within time and cost constraints, implementation, test and release.
The successful Plant Manager, based in Somerset will ideally have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or other related degree along with 10 years of related manufacturing management experience, including experience at a recognized world class manufacturing company. You will also have prior experience and strong understanding of highly precise and complex, continuous flow manufacturing process operations and demonstrate use of Lean or Kaizen principles and evidence of establishing a continuous improvement culture.
