Assistant Management Accountant

GBP21,000 + 10% Company bonus
1-1 Recruitment have a very exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a digital infrastructure specialist in Alton.
This company offers a variety of infrastructure solutions for businesses and operate all around the world. In this role, you will be providing assistance to the management accountants and working under the financial controller. You will need to manage your own workload to meet internal and external deadlines, however senior colleagues available to provide guidance when required.
Responsibilities and daily activities
Preparation of the monthly Group Reporting pack
Monthly reconciliation of gross margin
Preparation of the month end management information pack
Regular preparation of bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation and submission of VAT returns, EC sales list and Intrastat declaration
Regular reconciliation of deferment account statements to C79 forms received
Assisting with the production of the annual budget
Preparation of year-end financial statements and consolidation packs
Any other analysis of financial information on an ad hoc basis
Ideal candidate
Self-starter with the capability of working well independently and as part of a small team
Attention to detail and ability to self-review work
Ability to understand and follow processes and identify potential improvements
Proactive and works on own initiative
Ability to present documents in a clear, cohesive manner
Good communication skills
Strong Excel skills (desirable)
Would suit graduate or AAT qualified applicant with desire to progress
