Mechanical Building Services Engineer
Our client, a Multi-disciplinary Consultancy, are seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join them due to continued growth, based from their Solihull office. The Engineer will be working on Mechanical projects from GBP100,000 to GBP2.5M, such as healthcare, higher education, industrial, retail, commercial, and other public service organisations.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and will be working at Intermediate or Senior level. The Building Services Engineer will need to be West Midlands based and happy to travel across the region for work.
Mechanical Building Services Engineer Position Overview
Ascertaining Client's requirements either through reference to their specification documents or more likely through visiting sites with their nominated personnel and developing the brief in line with their specific aspirations.
Working alongside the Associate and where applicable the Project Director to ensure scheme designs are value engineered and adhere to client specifications whilst retaining appropriate levels of operational security and full compliance with all relevant legislation.
To prepare and review detailed engineering calculations and solutions from inception to completion of schemes utilising our design partners, individual knowledge, site installation and construction personnel.
To closely coordinate design production between our in-house design teams, external design companies and the supply chain.
Attend internal and external design reviews and where applicable progress meetings alongside Senior Engineers and the Associates working on the schemes. Mechanical Building Services Engineer Position Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
An industry applicable BEng, BSc or equivalent in a Mechanical Building Services
Chartered Engineer or experienced and looking to achieve this status shortly
Working from RIBA stages 0 - 7 in particular, full detail design.
Full driving licence

Salary: GBP30k - GBP50k DOE
29 days holidays (including Bank Holidays) rising by one each year of service up to a maximum of 33
