Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Rotating Equipment) - Permanent - Staffordshire
Our client is a world leading process manufacturer based in Staffordshire and they are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with rotating equipment experience to join their organisation on a permanent staff basis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* As part of a DAY team carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on chemical plant rotating equipment.
* Health and safety and environmental compliance is an important aspect of this position together with contributing to continuous improvement in productivity and plant availability.
* Work in accordance with site standards, procedures and legislation and keep up-to-date with current requirements by participating in internal and external training.
* Providing support for all mechanical maintenance, with extensive knowledge of rotating equipment including Magnetic drive, canister and chemical sealed pumps.
* Perform specialist repairs and conduct fault diagnosis where appropriate.
* Initiative to work on your own and as part of a team.
* Understanding of technical manuals and engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of safe working procedures along with chemical plant experience would be advantageous.
* A positive attitude and an ability to support strong relationships with your colleagues.
Qualification & Experience:
* Recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ or equivalent.
* Possessing manufacturing maintenance experience and knowledge of operating a maintenance management system.
* Industry experience in either chemicals, COMAH sites, heavy manufacturing / process or highly regulated sectors would be considered.
* A flexible approach to this position is required and a willingness to work a 'call out' rota (roughly twice a year) and willing to work unsupervised in dedicated teams.
