At Bott Ltd we are continuing to invest and have an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety and Facilities Coordinator to join our well-established team based at our site in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire.

You will support the Facilities Manager in ensuring our site is maintained and operates effectively, safely, and in a compliant and cost-effective manner. For the right candidate the company will fund additional training including NEBOSH to ensure that you are able to confidently fulfil the responsibilities below.
Key Responsibilities:
To give administrative support including inputting data, creating and maintaining documents using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
To ensure that staff, contractors, visitors, drivers etc. on site comply with company H&S as well as security arrangements and procedures
Arrange and conduct health and safety training for employees and contractors; review effectiveness, keep records and monitor renewal dates
Support in the creation and maintenance of risk assessments and Safe Working Instructions
Regularly audit the workplace, work equipment, and work processes to ensure that compliance and standards are being achieved
Support in the administration and management of the company quality and environmental systems, ensuring they are effective
Provide administrative support to the maintenance engineer
To support in the implementation of policies and practices ensuring that the company's positive ethos towards site development, maintenance, health and safety, quality, and security are maintained and continually improved upon
Deputise for the Facilities Manager in his absence
Essential Skills:
IOSH Managing Safety or similar H&S qualification, or experience of working within a H&S team/role
Have an understanding of the operation of Quality and Environmental Management Systems
MS Office competent - (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
Experience of small team working and flexible approach
Implement policies and procedure to ensure compliance
Proactive and commercial approach to problem solving
Excellent communicator at all levels with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Desirable Skills:
Experience of working within an engineering, production, or manufacturing environment
Experience of working with contractors
Ability to write and review risk assessments and safe working instructions
Ability and desire to train employees and contractors in health and safety topics
Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Management Systems
