Yards Person / Stock Controller
Yards Person / Stock Controller -required for our client to join their friendly team based in Brentwood. The Yards Person / Stock Controller will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles bringing materials to the yard, check materials against documentation, and store material according to agreed processes.
The Stores Operative must have experience of operating at least a Telehandler or forklift operator and corresponding certificates. The candidate will have experience of keeping the yard and warehouses tidy and well organised.
Yards Person / Stock Controller Position Overview
Load vehicles collecting materials from the yard, checking materials against relevant documentation
Ensure all materials movement documents are filed on software
Perform periodic stock counts as necessary
Record issue and receipt of Plant in the yard, and pass to Plant team
Be alert to, and prevent or report, unauthorised removal of materials or plant from the yard
Keep the yard secure, and prevent or report unauthorised access
Dispose of yard waste according to agreed policy
Keep all materials safe and in good condition
Yards Person / Stock Controller Position Requirements
Telehandler and forklift operator certificates and experience of operating at least one of these machines
Health, Safety and Environmentally conscious
Full UK drivers licence
Adequate physical fitness for the role
Knowledge of fibre optic and telecommunications materials preferred
Live near Brentwood
Yards Person / Stock Controller Position Remuneration
Salary: up to GBP25,000 per annum
48 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days + BH
