Job Title - Electrician (Perm)

Location - Ipswich

Salary - 32,557.85 + extras

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced domestic electrician to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties covering Ipswich /Suffolk and the surrounding areas.

What we are looking for:

Experience of installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations.
Knowledge to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
Duties:

Testing and inspection of domestic dwellings
Fault finding and repair
Reactive maintenance
Storage heaters
Immersions
Showers
Street lighting
Door entry systems
Re-wires
Completion of all NICEIC paperwork
Ideally previous domestic, social housing experience

Qualifications:

Essential 17th Edition qualified
Desired 18th Edition qualified
Desired 2391 Testing and Inspection
Desired JIB graded approved Electrician
Desired Health and Safety trained
Essential Full UK Driving License
Essential Current CSCS Card
Skills:

Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent personal presentation and time keeping skills
Ability to display excellent Customer Service skills both internally and externally,generating a positive working environment
Ability to work diligently with good attention to detail
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Ability to demonstrate technical skills in both core trade and associated trades
Analytical and Numeracy skills
Knowledge of Tablets/Microsoft Packages
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm with 30 minutes lunch.

There is an on call rota which you will be asked to join after a qualifying period.

The pay rate is based on a self-employed basis. PAYE is available and the rate will be dependent on the preferred method of payment.

Immediate start available for the right candidate. The interview may also include a trade test to assess suitability for the role.

The role is permament, full time with the company after 13 after sucessful interview process.

A van, fuel card and uniform will be issued with this role.

Overtime available.
