Due to continued expansion, our Client who provides logistics and freight services, require a Road Freight & Customs Operator to join their freight forwarding team in Castlesford. Ideally you'll already have some customs experience, but training will be given to candidates passionate about learning. The company is expanding its range of customs related services and the successful candidate will be an integral part of this initiative. Its a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 5pm. The salary package benefits from a bonus scheme and company pension.
On a day-to-day basis you'll be coordinating EU shipments by liaising with customers, partners, customs authorities, third party hauliers and agents, obtaining freight rates and providing quotations, processing export and import declarations, arranging customs clearance, duty deferment processing, arranging domestic and international transport and preparing collection notes and booking confirmations etc.
We're keen to speak to enthusiastic people who have experience working as a Road Freight Operator / Road Freight Coordinator or Customs Operator / Customs Clerk / Customs Coordinator, or someone who has good working knowledge of Destin8, CNS and MultiFreight.
If you have road freight or customs entry knowledge or are from a logistics/freight background, we want to hear from you!
Successful Customs Operators have a couple of years experience in a similar role and solid knowledge of the import and export market including the customs procedures and documentation that goes with it. Youll be organised by nature and will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere. Being computer literate, having excellent attention to detail skills, as well as being good with numbers and a confident communicator are imperative attributes for the best Customs Operators.
