Account Manager / Area Sales Manager required working for a manufacturer of wood burning and solid fuel stoves, to date they have circa 160 appointed dealers throughout the UK selling their product range, therefore the ability to engage with, understand and recognise customers' requirements, translating these into sales and increased market share is paramount.

The role will be managing an existing network of dealers throughout the South of England and South Wales, the patch currently has approximately 80 accounts with the aim to expand the region to 90-100 dealers over the next couple of years. Our client would like the Account Manager to have good road links and suggested that Reading, Oxford or Swindon would be ideal base locations but anywhere on patch will be considered.

It is anticipated that the Account Manager will be attending appointments 4 days per week with the remainder for management meetings, appointment making and business development. The Account Manager will be selling to heating, stove or fireplace showrooms and outlets dealing directly with showroom managers or owners.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focussed, understand the importance of relationship management and have a strong passion for the brand and quality products.

Account Manager / Area Sales Manager - Stoves Overview

Working from home reporting to the UK Manager, you will manage your own diary and day with an anticipated 4 days per week spent with customers (dealers).
Account Management to existing dealer network with some new business targeting stove or fireplace showroom managers or owners or heating product outlets.
Arranging product display and training days as well as exhibiting and attending trade shows

Account Manager / Area Sales Manager - Stoves Requirements

It is expected that the Area Sales Manager or Account Manager will have a proven sales background
Some industry experience relating to stoves, wood burners, chimneys or flues etc.
Experience managing an existing dealer network work autonomously
Full driving licence and willing to travel

Salary GBP33k-GBP38K + Bonus (Annual Target-based bonus up to 10% of salary)
