Accounts Assistant
Company description
We are a rapidly growing Accountancy Practice based in Newport that focuses on providing excellent customer service to our clients.
We aim to reduce our clients time spent on admin, so they can spend more time with their families, and reduce their tax liabilities so that they can spend more on the things that matter to them.
We are one of the most highly reviewed accountancy practices in Yorkshire, with 119 5* reviews on Google, 44 reviews on QuickBooks, and 30+ on Facebook and we are looking to build on this positive feedback with long term growth plans to expand across the M62 corridor.
Accounts Assistant Job description
Are you looking to build a long-term career in Accountancy? Then look no further! Start your career today with a Level 7 apprenticeship with Adaptive Accountancy Ltd and Kaplan. You will be gaining valuable workplace experience whilst working towards the ACCA qualification.
Description
We are looking for someone who wants to develop both in terms of their qualifications and within the job role itself. The role is mapped out to develop into a senior position in the future as the candidate develops.
You will be working closely with the director to aid you in your development whilst also receiving external training on a regular basis. CPD is extremely important to our business model, and we provide great opportunities to our staff to develop their tax knowledge.
Accounts Assistant Duties will include:
* Account preparation
* Bookkeeping
* Preparation of VAT Returns
* Preparation of limited company accounts
* General Admin
* Help develop apprentice(s)
* Any adhoc duties as and when required.
The successful candidate would ideally be working towards your AAT qualification, with two years' experience working in an accountancy practice.
We are looking for someone who has a great attitude to learning and excellent personal skills. Ideally you will be looking for a role that will naturally develop into managing your own team and be comfortable with that. You will have your ownership of your client bank and will have the chance to specialise into areas of tax or specific industries.
There are many directions this role can progress in, and this will largely be dictated by the successful candidate. As we are a fast-growing company we can allocate your desired direction into your workflow.
