About the Overall Objective:
* To grow the awareness of the business as experts in the hospitality sector by backing up stories told by marketing with your numbers/statistics/insight/analysis
About the Responsibilities:
* Research and analyse data from industry reports and the wealth of data stored in Salesforce (sales, customer, marketing)
* Over time gain a deep understanding of the hospitality sector - macro and micro economics - e.g. the pain points, needs and interests, relevant legislation changes, competitor activity etc
* Working alongside a small marketing team and working autonomously, you will extract and interrogate customer and sales data from Salesforce using SQL and Excel
* Gain an understanding of different industry tools and technologies to improve efficiency and deepen the value of this role, e.g. business intelligence modelling such as Power BI
* Present your insight to marketing, managers, directors within the organisation
* Be the 'go-to' person for anything data/analysis related internally
* Make recommendations for how to grow this role within the business
About the Requirements:
You are likely to be in one of the following roles right now looking for a step up???.
1. Junior Data / Marketing / Sales / Business Analyst, Product / Category Assistant / Executive, Insight Exec / Assistant, CRM Exec
2. Marketing Assistant / Graduate in more numbers focused marketing roles
3. A very bright, ambitious 2.1+ graduate (Maths, Statistics, Business, Data Science, Physics or sciences or other numerical/data relevant subjects) with a placement year in a commercial environment
* You love analysing data, spotting trends, looking at statistics - but you also know how to present what the numbers are saying in a logical, clear and easy to understand format
* Telling stories with numbers is your thing; (or finding the numbers to tell the story)
* As well as analysing data, you are able to form actionable insight - i.e. you can recommend how your findings can be used for business strategy
* Excellent with Excel
* SQL - advantage - full training given
About the Person:
Passionate about data/numbers
Loves researching and seeking out information
Ideally, degree educated as stated above Confident personality and able to communicate with all levels
Excited that this a brand new position and the prospect of making this role yours
Happy with a positively agile/changing environment and therefore flexible and adaptable in your approach
Helpful and co-operative, i.e. 'can-do' attitude - 'not my job' is not in your vocabulary
