This bespoke manufacturing Business based in Saffron Walden is currently seeking a Experienced Supply Chain Manager

They are looking for an experienced supply chain professional to manage and develop the supply chain functions, delivering the highest service levels at the lowest operational costs.
Managing Purchasing and Stores personnel -
Recommend and implement supplier management, sourcing and stocking
Leading the buying procedure , procurement process, delivering cost saving initiatives
Working with existing and new suppliers to develop, improve and strengthen relationships and supply agreements.
Supplier negotiation to reduce costs and ensure profitability targets are met whilst still meeting customer demand
Identify opportunities for better sourcing through innovation, improved services and commercial agreements
Recommend and implement a clearly defined inventory management strategy
Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, Stock control of inventory plus auditing systems.
Control of the shipping and logistics, including importing of raw materials, components and third party finished products and the worldwide shipping of all finished goods.
Ensure that raw material supply meets the demand of our manufactured and assembled products
Taking command of the quality control of all bought-in, in-house assembled and in-house manufactured products
Responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, driving and reporting on all Supply Chain KPI's
Supporting the Director of Operations in any other area in order to meet the company's strategic goalsAbout You
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
MCIPS qualification or Degree related to supply chain, procurement, logistics, business management or related industry experience
First hand experience in a supply chain / procurement / logistics role, ideally with some of this time working for a manufacturing / assembly company
Good understanding of manufacturing, assembly, transportation and warehousing
Experience of managing and developing teams
Strong analytical and statistical skills, to understand supply and demand issues
Experience in developing, implementing and delivering supply chain KPI's
Experience in supplier relationship management including negotiation, evaluation and supply agreements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver the companies goals
Experience of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
Fully IT literate with standard Microsoft Office packages, with particular strengths using Microsoft Excel
Experience and knowledge of working with MRP and ERP system
