Our client an established manufacturing company with a healthy order book are currently looking for an Trainee Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical or Mechanical Bias) to join their expanding team.
Overall Purpose:
* The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
* A multi skilled role ideally suited to someone new to the industry and looking to from a long-term career, with a preferred Electrical or Mechanical bias and for reactive breakdown repair, PPM, installation and maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
Key Duties:
* Assist in the carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities on the shop floor
* Assist in the new equipment installations and upgrades.
* Assist in the breakdown repairs in all areas of the shop floor
* Adhere to safe working practices and observe all site safety rules at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
* Hold a relevant qualification NVQ, City and Guilds, HNC in an Engineering related discipline.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Experience with Heating elements, sprinkler systems, water pumps & thermocouples preferred
* Minimum 3 years post held in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday - 8:00AM - 16:30PM
Friday - 07:00AM - 13:30pm
