Software Engineer
Our prestigious client design and manufacture bespoke components for the automotive sector. They are looking to engage a skilled PC Software Engineer with key aptitude to provide a professional software design service to implement and test software routines for use with the company's products, which meet the customer and company requirements, in a professional and accurate style. The Company is based in Norfolk and are looking at Hybrid working, so some days in the office and some working from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement PC software using .NET (C#) for the company's products for use in the automotive and motorsport industry
* Understand customer requirements, and respond to these with software designs and storyboards
* Document and report software designs to software development team and compile and track changes for each release
* Work closely with the software, hardware and sales teams on new features and functions
* Document release in line with ISO9001 and communicate these releases to internal teams
* Report and track bugs using VSTS (Azure DevOps)
* Assess software changes and impact to underlying software designs
* Design manual and automated test cases and plans
* Estimate effort required to perform development duties - identify and communicate as early as possible if targets are likely to be missed.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
* Experience in UI development for Windows PCs using .Net (WPF/C#)
* Experience of analysis of specifications and requirements
* Experience in PC software design - Wireframing, component architecture
* Passion for software development
* Problem solving/research skills
Desirable
* Prism/Composite frameworks
* Experience of mobile development using Xamarin
* Experience of web development using ASP.NET MVC
* .Net Core
* Azure Development
* UML
* Experience of automated software testing
* Use of VSTS/DevOps for bug tracking
* Experience of CAN, and relevant tools
* Experience of the automotive/motorsport domain
Remuneration
* GBP40,000 to GBP50,000 (negotiable dependent upon experience)
