Operations Manager - Street Services

Plymouth City Council currently have an opportunity for an Operations Managers with experience working in a FM environment to join their team and take responsibility for the operational management of their Street Services division.

You would be an experienced, proactive Operations Manager able to lead within Plymouth City Council's Street Services division. This division covers planned and reactive activities including street cleansing, upkeep of local parks and greens spaces. Being responsible for day to day operational management you will ensure quality services to the residents of Plymouth and ensure a commercial and competitive approach is maintained at all times. This will include managing and monitoring all work undertaken by front line teams to ensure activities are customer driven, customer focused and solution orientated, and ensuring that the Council's operational activities are carried out in accordance with environment legislation and Health and Safety Guidelines.

You will hold the following demonstrable skills & experience:

Excellent people management
Experience of managing work flow projects
Knowledge of Health and Safety issues within an operational workforce
Experience of managing a large operational workforce
You will also have a degree or equivalent in a related discipline and be able to demonstrate your suitability to this role.

This is a full time post for up to 6 months and due to the nature of the role it will be based on site in Plymouth. This opportunity offers a pay rate of GBP17.51 - GBP19.64 per hour PAYE
