One Saturday a month 9.30am-4pm and occasional days during the school holidays (Easter 2 days and Summer 12 days)
To look after disabled children aged 8-19.
Children's needs vary but will include physical disabilities and severe challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for them on a 1:1 basis and carry out personal care, help with feeding and ensure they have a fun day of appropriate play during the club.
You must have a good understanding of safeguarding and willing to attend training at our office in Herne Bay, be warm and welcoming to parents and carers and be able to implement, monitor and help evaluate children's targets/goals.
Previous experience of working with disabled children will be an advantage but you must have worked with children and be confident, proactive and have a fun loving personality.
Additional shifts are available in other locations (Sittingbourne and Herne Bay)
