A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Housing Manager to help provide a range of high-quality housing services to customers based across the North Wales area.

In the Supported Housing Manager job, you will be:

Managing a high-quality housing management and support service to all service users in line with the service specification and requirements of funders and relevant stakeholders
Ensuring the services produce positive outcomes for vulnerable people within the requirements of the programme
Maintaining the safety and security of staff and service users in the shared houses, accommodation units and floating support within general needs tenancies, ensuring that the accommodation and all activities are well managed, efficient and effective
Managing a team of 5-6 Project Workers
Recruiting, line managing, supervising, managing, motivating and developing the work of the staff team
Managing budgets and expenditure linked to the schemes; ensuring performance targets are met both internally and for that of external funders and regulatory requirements

To be considered for the Supported Housing Manager job must have:

Previous experience working within the Housing sector and working with vulnerable people, and knowledge of entitlements to welfare benefits and housing benefit
Experience of managing staff including recruitment of new staff and managing performance issues
An NVQ 2 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
Knowledge of housing legislation and issues relevant to Housing Associations
Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic Welsh conversational skills at a minimum due to the nature of the business
Ability to solve problems and deal with sensitive situations in a professional and sympathetic manner
Ability to organise and prioritise work and work on own initiative, whilst also being a good team worker

Demonstrate competent IT literacy in Word, Excel and Outlook.
DBS required - to be dated within 12 months - If registered with the Update Service this would be better

A full driving licence and the availability of a vehicle for work purposes including possession of business insurance due to the role requiring travel in and around North Wales areas

This is a temporary, full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) position with an ASAP start and will be up to 3 months on a week-by-week basis.
The hourly rate is GBP16.53 per hour plus holiday pay & mileage. The role will be working from home with requirements to travel to properties/schemes across the North Wales region.
