As such, this Management Accountant opportunity offers fast-track advancement opportunities. In a balanced and all-encompassing role, you will have the opportunity to add value to the finance function and wider business through having key involvement in various improvement initiatives and projects, whilst maintaining a hands on remit in day to day accounting duties.
Your new role as Management Accountant:
Working in a friendly team of 7 finance staff, you will report to an engaging Finance Director and as Management Accountant your duties will include the production of monthly management accounts, providing meaningful commentary and analysis; supporting with the year end close process; ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met; maintenance of the company fixed asset register; developing and maintaining the bespoke financial system; overseeing transactional accounting processes including payroll and credit control.
Once established in your role, the Finance Director will ensure progression is available through taking management responsibility for 2-3 junior finance staff, and longer-term developing into a lead finance role for one of the Group's key divisions.
There will also be some business facing and commercial involvement as you will also be a key player in a number of projects which will include driving improvements and efficiencies as well as supporting with growth plans and acquisition activity.
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
Ideally, you will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified although my client is welcoming applications from studiers or individuals who are qualified by experience, especially with construction/CIS knowledge although this is not essential. Staff supervisory/management experience is desirable, and you will be systems orientated with strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly pick up and adapt to new bespoke accounting systems.
