Location: Nr Chelmsford
Type: Permanent
Salary/Rate: GBP45,000 plus benefits
HSB Technical are looking for a Software Development Engineer to our international marine client based nr Chelmsford. Working as the Software Development Engineer, you will: Help maintain, develop and contribute to new & existing software systems / integrated monitoring solutions by providing technical and domain expertise.
In this key role of Software Development Engineer you will be involved in:
• Conceptualise and develop solutions / methodologies for complex automation systems
• Propose and contribute to the development of new products using technological innovations
• Deliver Software Products based on high level specifications
• Working to a project plan with agreed milestone points -
• Validation and testing of software prior to release and contribute to the overall integrity and reliability of the system
• Provide support for current software
• Produce specification documentation and manuals
To be successful in the role of Software Developer you will need the following key skills and attributes:
• Strong experience of C++ Windows Development using Visual Studio
• Expertise in High Volume real-time data transfer
• Working in a Multi-threaded Solutions environment
• Been developing in Windows Application Development
Other key exposure that is beneficial includes:
• IPMS knowledge
• Serial Interfaces
• Direct X / Open GL
• LINUX Embedded Development
• TCP/UDP Networking
As a Software Development Engineer you will possess:
• Relevant Degree
• Proven background as mentioned above
• Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance
• Driving licence & Non-restrictive passport
