We are looking for a self-sufficient, multi-disciplined Commercial Manager with responsibility for Sales and Supply Management for one of our Food Manufacturing clients in the Normanton area.
The individual will manage the Retail supply team and work with Category, NPD, Finance and Production, to develop, launch and manage the product range. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will ensure that products are launched correctly, on time and are then maintained on a weekly basis by managing the supply chain from Factory to Store.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Management:
The Business Unit Manager will be responsible for the both direct and indirect products launching correctly in the relevant Factories and will complete the required paperwork
Maintain a rolling 52 week forecast to ensure that the factories have an accurate view of the long-term plan
Will analyse sales daily to ensure we don't miss any opportunities and make promotional recommendations to the teamSupply Management:
A key part of the role is to maintain a running forecast, aligned across the business, and monitor orders, as well as availability and waste, making sure that we are maximising one while minimising the other
This will involve daily reports that will have to be run and analysed.
Some category sales will be heavily dependent on Promotions, coming up with promotional scenarios, tracking their performance to ensure they match with factory capacities, and reporting any potential overselling or underselling issues will be an important task
To Be Successful
Commercially literate, capable of thinking through pricing, volume and contractual length in order to make robust commercial decisions, aware of the implications and consequences of each decision
Familiar with the processes of demand planning, forecasting and waste tracking, and have the skills to create and analyse reports on a daily basis
The ideal candidate will be resilient enough to thrive in a fast moving, commercially exciting but challenging environment, balancing the demands of the retailer and multiple production sites.
They will also, ideally, have team leadership experience within a retailer or retailer supplier
In return, you will be offered a truly varied role within a dynamic and a fast-paced business where opportunities to develop your skill sets and career progression path often arise
