We Care Recruitment are looking for an experienced Youth Support Worker for a permanent contract in the Northumberland area working either day or night shift rotas.
The purpose of the job is to work with young people and adults in ranging between 16 and 25 years of age, in a residential college setting, to safeguard and promote their safety and welfare at all times. To support students to feel a sense of belonging and influence within their accommodation, providing individualised day to day care and support.
To provide and encourage students to access opportunities to engage in hobbies and experiences in order to attain positive outcomes, boost confidence and improve resilience whilst increasing their levels of independence and self-regulation
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting people with additional needs and will demonstrate a passion and commitment to supporting others.
NVQ in health and social care or related subject is desirable but not mandatory.
This role will become a permanent contract after a period of 12 weeks probationary period.
Because of the location of the service public transport is limited so this would be more suited to someone with access to their own transport.
