Our client, a globally recognised manufacturer based in Hampshire, makes smart devices that keep people safe every second of every day. They require an experience, customer centric Product Manager to join their team. The company offers an excellent basic salary, with company bonus, employee share scheme, healthcare, contributory pension, 25 days holiday and a host of other benefits.
This role will offer some work from home opportunity but will have a requirement to be on site during the working week.
Key Duties
Interact with the internal and external audiences to clearly understand the market requirements and perceptions of the portfolio of products.
Analyse the market and competition with a view to ensure product leadership.
Build external relationships with wider audience
Recommend and document new product opportunities. Review, justify and quantify all new product opportunities and propose ideas for development that fit within the business strategy.
Propose comprehensive product and market plans.
Full end-to-end product ownership through the entire NPD process and product lifecycle; NPD documentation, go-to-market plans, pricing, Alpha & Beta testing, obsolescence, among others.
Be the responsible person for overall management and resolution of sustaining related issues. For example, working with Quality / Operations / Technical teams to resolve issues
Knowledge and Experience
Substantial product management experience with a track record of achievement - at least 3 years
Experience in managing product portfolios through the entire lifecycle
Customer focused and data driven with a wide range of analytical skills
A technical background would be an advantage
Degree educated within a business or marketing discipline would be an advantage
Knowledge of B2B processes
Ability to influence and negotiate when required
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills
