Job Title: Teaching Assistant- Mainstream Primary
Location: Middlesbrough
Daily Rate: GBP65 - GBP85
Start Date: June 2021
New Academic year approaching, with a new challenge?
Do you have experience of working with pupils in a primary mainstream setting?
Are you a bubbly character with the spontaneity and experience to adapt to situations as they arise?
Are you a highly motivated and flexible Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant?
Are you keen to make a difference and help children who have complex, additional needs?
Can you provide help and support to SEN children?
Can you provide practical assistance to staff?
Can you cater for the personal welfare and educational needs of children?
If you've answered 'yes' to all these questions, then this position sounds like an ideal fit!You will be responsible for the care of a child in a mainstream primary school who has additional needs. You will be directed by the Class Teacher and help deliver specific tasks and activities. You will control behaviour management and be able to deescalate any arising situations. This is a brief outline and the specific duties will be discussed after the application process.
In order to be considered you will need???
English language reading and comprehension to GCSE standard
Numeracy skills to GCSE standard
A good understanding of the UK National Curriculum
Experience in a similar setting, either as a 1:1 or overseeing a group
Transferable skills of working with adults or children that need emotional support
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Learning Support or equivalent (ideal, not essential)
