A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the UKs leading waste and resource management company for an energetic Regional Health and Safety Advisor who can hit the ground running. Responsible for sites across the South of the UK this is an opportunity to work from home as well as undertaking regular site visits. Ideally you will be based around Bedford or Milton Keynes.
Our client has a strong health and safety culture and you will have responsibility for driving excellence within this diverse high risk environment. The successful candidate will influence, provide recommendations, advise, guide and train Site Managers, Operational Managers, Supervisors and Safety Representatives- leading the continued development of a positive safety culture. Behavioural safety training knowledge is advantageous as you will be required to take the lead in your region.
Ideally you will possess a background within Waste Recycling, Waste Disposal, Quarry Works, Aggregates, however, a background in manufacturing or engineering may be considered too and an exposure to construction is desirable.
You will be required to ensure continued compliance on site, monitor goals and KPI's. Leading your region you will have the opportunity to create initiatives and support the development and implementation of the Health and Safety plan focusing on continuous risk and accident reduction. Participate in procedural reviews and make recommendations based on trends, liaise with external regulatory bodies, prohibit works if required.
Requirements:
* NEBOSH Diploma or working towards ideally, or NEBOSH and or NCRQ equiv essential
* PTTLS - desirable
* Previous similar experience, ideally Waste Recycling, Waste Disposal, Aggregate industry.
* Team Player, Strong Communicator, Self-Motivated, Excellent Engagement Skills
