We are looking for HGV Class 1 Trunk Drivers in Didcot, on an on-going basis, with an immediate start. This is a Temp to Perm working 5 days in 7, with start time from 15:00 pm onwards. Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (including at short notice) and will be delivering to client's independent retail stores
About the role:
* Loading and unloading of stock to the client's independent retailers stores, which can be physically demanding which can include working outside in adverse weather conditions.
* Checking goods off with Customers and obtaining a signature
* Driving the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law
* Driving within the tachograph law and driver hours limits
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the driving cab
* Reporting any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure
* Completing vehicle daily inspection sheet
* Experience of Temperature controlled food deliveries preferred but not essential
License/Certification required:
* A valid LGV C+E license
* A valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
* Valid digital tachograph card
