Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Bookeepr/Accounts manager. This is a very important role working as part of a small team in lovely offices on the Essex/Suffolk border.
This is a part-time or full-time permanent position working 28-35 hours per week for a confident person with comprehensive knowledge of Xero Accounting software.
Hours of work: 8:30 - 4:30
Hourly rate: GBP13 - GBP15
Annual equivalent range: GBP23,660 - GBP27,300
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays (Full time per annum)

Purpose of the Role:
* To provide a prompt and accurate bookkeeping service using Xero Accounting Software.
* To review and optimise current bookkeeping processes.
Job Duties to include:
* Daily bank reconciliation
* Full control of sales and purchase ledgers to include raising quotations and sales invoices. Processing supplier invoices.
* Credit control
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register on MS Excel.
* Monthly management accounts pack preparation to include all month end journal entries and control account reconciliations.
* Other administrative duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Comprehensive demonstrable experience of Xero Accounting software
* Bookkeeping/Accounting experience 5 years +
* Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good level of general education
* Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision.
* Proactive approach to workload
* Self-starter - able to work independently and collaboratively.
General
* To provide cover for other colleagues when required.
* To participate in meetings, training, and performance development as required.
* To be aware of and comply with all Company policies and procedures including health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection.
* To input and retrieve data from the Company's information systems as required.
* To provide assistance to other members of the team during periods of high demands, aiding in the completion of tasks during times of peak load, substituting for others in their absence, as necessary, and to meet the needs of the Company
