Outstanding Kickstart Placement for an Environmentally Aware Retail Assistant!
Are you aged between 16 and 24?
Are you on Universal Credit?
Are you seeking a role Retail/Customer Services/ Marketing that also helps the environment?
If you have answered "Yes" to the above then read on!
The Tisbury Community Benefits Society has come up with a superb project to help the local community with shopping by the introduction of a new Electric Shopping Vehicle!
You will be the first to be working in this mobile shop.
The community invested their money to transform the vehicle which will travel around the local area offering a plastic free shopping experience. You will be dispensing dry goods such as pasta, oats, lentils, herbs and spices (larder items) for the local community.
The mobile shop has a strong environmental bias and would suit someone who is keen to reduce waste and save the environment whilst being interested to learn about the products and serve customers foods dispensed into their own containers. You will be working with a Manager and assisting with the sales of goods and the marketing of the mobile vehicle and its contents!

The successful candidates will be involved in:
Working in the mobile shop that will travel around the local area.
Meeting and greeting customers
Assisting customers with the dispensing of the products into the customers own receptacle.
Keeping the area clean and tidy and following health & hygiene regulations
Weighing out goods
Speaking to customers and communicate well getting the plastic free message across
Stock replenishment.
Operation of the till and taking money
General Sales & Marketing of the business to spread word. This can incorporate social media, taking pictures and writing articles about the business if the successful candidate is interested in this but it is not essential
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED FOR THIS JOB?
You will need a good standard of ed. with Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Flexible attitude
Excellent communication skills with a confident and outgoing personality.
Keen
Environmentally aware
