3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Leyland / Flexible
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Up to GBP40,000 per annum
I am looking for a 3rd line infrastructure engineer to join a team working on the delivery, implementation and support of Cloud and On premise Infrastructure solutions ensuring business SLAs are met. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be both primary and secondary SME for Systems & Technologies within the infrastructure.
Skills and experience required for the role include:
- Delivery, support, monitoring and automation for the Azure cloud services
- Experience of support and automated deployments using Terraform for Azure Cloud Services
- Using DevOps frameworks to support releases into Production and non-production environments
- Knowledge and experience of working with Kubernetes in a production environment using docker for orchestration both in Azure and On Prem
- Proven experience of Windows Server, Active Directory (AD) and IIS
- Maintaining and monitoring all technology solutions within the infrastructure environment
- Taking a lead in managing the smooth running of the production environments
Good practical LAN & WAN skills; TCP/IP, IP Addressing, VLAN & Wifi
- Cisco networking products , incl. Catalyst, Nexus & ASA
- Enterprise level Load balancing & Firewall support ; Netscaler, Jet Nexus, Cisco, Checkpoint
- Cloud platform install, config & support; Azure and/or AWS
- Server architectures incl. blade solutions; build, config and management, ideally Cisco UCS
- Virtualisation solutions; Hyper-V and/or VMWare, incl. P2V and V2V techniques
- Microsoft & Linux Operating system install, configuration and management, incl. Clustering & Patching
