The Financial Accountant supports the Finance Manager in managing the Companies' accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate production of accounts and relevant financial analyses and exercising sound financial control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Gather and monitor financial data
* Maintain accurate records and schedules
* Analyse financial data and provide commentary
* Assist with preparation of monthly internal management accounts
* Assist with the preparation of tax records
* Responsibility for the accounting of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)
* Assist in the development and maintenance of all finance policies and procedures associated with all financial activity impacting the general ledger
* Ensure all financial transactions are appropriately recorded within the general ledger
* Collaborate with both internal and external audit to provide information where necessary
* Collaborate with colleagues throughout the business including the wider group
* Ensure robust internal finance controls are maintained
* Maintain and continuously improve the 1st line Risk & Control Self-Assessment processes within the department
* Seek to drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures
* Involvement in Finance Projects as required
* Perform ad hoc tasks as required
* Adhere to the FCA Conduct rules
