My client based in Halifax for looking for experienced FLT Drivers to join their busy manufacturing plant. It will be your job to ensure raw material is transferred from my clients' goods in warehouses, safely, without incurring damage during transit, to their conversion machines, keeping them supplied with material continuously.
You will work a 12-hour Continental Shift Pattern.
Shift pattern is continental days: 12 hours - 6am to 6pm - 60 hours in week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday / 24 hours in week 2 Wednesday, Thursday
The key responsibilities involved in this role are:
* To maximise and maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of machine production output by ensuring board is available to ensure production figures are met.
* When feeding machines, you will ensure all paperwork is followed and all boards and labels are updated accordingly.
* When taking out or putting into stock it is important that all row labels are updated accordingly.
* When loading vehicles, you will ensure picking lists tie up with what is loaded on the vehicle.
* Before operating the FLT, you will complete all external FLT safety checks
Skills required for this role are:
* FLT Counterbalance license
* Strong experience
* Good communication skills
* Good understanding of health & safety practices
* Experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment
* Be available immediately.
Hourly rate is GBP12.52. 12 weeks temp to perm contract.
