About Our Client
We are delighted to be working for a market-leading, rapidly growing supplier of digital design resources, who are looking for a creative, passionate and experienced Senior UX / UI Designer with analytical skills, to facilitate the development of their online platform.
The team is seeking a designer with a strong, proven track record in e-commerce UX and UI design to join full time in a working from home capacity.
Job Description
The successful applicant will carry out the following primary functions:
Set up and track site performance via Google Analytics and Hotjar
Set up and present findings via Google Data Studio dashboards
Make on-going performance presentations to senior management
Work closely with the dev team, marketing team and senior management to prioritise areas for improvement in the website UX and UI
Think carefully and holistically regarding the UX design and propose and present highly salient, intuitive solutions to UX problems
Translate user needs into user stories for development
Map out user journeys and service blueprints
Create clickable prototypes in XD with a view to pulling assets into the build phase
Design and create presentations, style guides and assets
Be responsible for directly improving customer conversions on the platform
The ideal candidate will have the following essential skills / experience and qualities:
8 or more years of experience working solely on ecommerce website UX / UI design
4 years or more experience providing ecommerce website design for companies whose turnover is in excess of 10 million dollars a year
4 years or more experience working on ecommerce platforms selling physical or digital products, with a product catalogue in excess of 10,000 items
Minimum 2 years' experience of using Adobe XD
Minimum 8 years of experience in other Adobe CS applications including: Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign / Acrobat
Strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce UX & UI work
User journey & service blueprints
Wireframe & examples of XD prototypes
Skilled in Adobe XD prototyping
Highly proficient in setup of reporting via Google Analytics and Hotjar
Ability to set up dashboards in Google Data Studio
Can easily pick up projects at any point in their inception and implementation
Able to establish and present clear and thorough user journeys
Detail-oriented whilst able to balance time / quality with budget
Used to working in a team
Confident designing features and functionality to meet user requirements
Able to work to tight deadlines under pressure
Comfortable working to targets
Excellent time management and self-discipline
Additional Beneficial Skills:
Experienced in CSS and knowledgeable in site-building practices
Strong overall design skills
Experience in managing and supporting junior designers
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of ecommerce optimization and performance-based analytics will be essential as you will be responsible for tracking and reporting the performance of the site on an ongoing basis. You will work closely with the Creative Director, marketing team and senior management to ensure the development of the site into a market-leading platform for digital sales. As well as working on the primary site's UX and UI you will also help develop portals launched by the brand to facilitate the running of the main platform.
