Job Overview: Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for an Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join their team. Our client has remained open and busy during the pandemic and are operating using good social distancing
Role:
* Experienced on CAD/CAM software including 3D data manipulation. (Solidworks experience preferred but not essential)
* Operate all Standard Toolroom machinery and have experience with various CNC machinery operation and programming
* As an Injection Moulding Toolmaker you will be required to perform all aspects of plastic injection mould tool requirements, maintenance, repair and modifications.
* Manufacture Jigs & Fixtures, Prototype tooling & parts and Test fixtures to support the manufacturing processes across the facility
* Provide technical support to the other functional departments.
Responsibilities:
* To safely use and maintain all tool room equipment used in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company 5S guidelines and to ensure others in the tool room adhere likewise.
* To accurately manufacture prototypes and product samples, jigs, fixtures in accordance with given work schedules, prioritising work as necessary, using appropriate CAD/CAM systems when required.
* To maintain/ repair and modify production mould tools in accordance with company guidelines.
* To work as a team to fully assist all functions within the Facility.
* Use initiative to assist and introduce new methods for assembly and manufacture, communicating these as necessary.
* To problem solve moulding related tooling issues and make improvements to allow tool functionality or improve process issues.
* Responsible for customer interface, specifying jobbing in order of priority, leading the toolroom
* As an Injection Mould Toolmaker you will need to have hands on experience with tool cleaning, polishing, configuration, maintenance and optimisation.
Experience Requirements.
* Time served apprenticeship desired
* Proven Experience of at least 5 years in a role
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (desired)
* Mig/Tig welding cert
* Ideally have Supervisory/ Team Leader experience
