Role purpose:

The role is to work as an automation developer/Tester in the Unified Communications and Connectivity Practice's Test, Environments and SDR team. This will involve working in a team of testers and developers to build the next generation platform to allow our customers to consume next generation unified communications and connectivity products in a cloud native manner.

The role will involve working in designing Automated Test Solutions across different technologies and deploying them on AWS cloud or on customer premise using looks like BDD framework in Multi-Modal Test Environments. It will involve understanding on Network Monitoring, Reporting and Project Tracking tools

The role will involve understanding and implementing APIs and creating test scripts to build AWS cloud native applications. A good understanding of micro-services architectures and micro-service design, infrastructure as a service will be needed as part of this role, Knowledge of object oriented development is essential.

The team will be managing work through the Scrum or Kanban framework, so good knowledge of this and how to work within it is essential.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

* Good knowledge on AWS Cloud computing, Docker, Kafka

* Good knowledge of Python scripting language

* Experience in developing BDD Automation framework (Preferably Behave)

* Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab) and implementation

* Preferred if candidate has experience working REST API and Selenium

* Preferred if candidate has knowledge in data and voice network protocols

Experience:

* Experience in executing a testing function in a large telecom environment, preferably working in Agile teams

* Experience in developing and running automated test harnesses

* Testing procedures definition and execution

* Test reporting
