Role: Senior OR principle Electronics Design engineer

Location: Deeside, 8 miles from Chester

Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000

My client based in Deeside just 8 miles from Chester are looking to hire an electronics design engineer.

This tole is customer facing and my client are specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced technology solutions which is supply across the world. Our principle business areas include: SCADA for the electricity supply industry, Integrated Security and Mobilising Command and Control systems.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team producing innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity with long-term career prospects for a driven individual to join a forward-thinking organisation.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of a team and utilising a wide range of exciting technologies, you will develop new products, systems and features.

You will be working alongside colleagues who have many years' experience in product development and be involved in the full lifecycle, from feasibility to release to production and on-going support.

Your role will include:

Leading the production of innovative designs that fulfil challenging user and performance requirements.
Liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure designs meet with requirements.
Using experience and technical best practice to overcome problems and product requirement challenges.
Ensuring that all designs comply with the appropriate international standards.
Working closely with purchasing and production to ensure good design principles are adopted to mitigate supply chain dependencies.
Supporting third parties involved in the design, prototype and production.
Ensuring designs are fully tested and documented to company design processes.
Providing detailed work breakdown for team tasks.
Working with the Company's adaptive development methodology to deliver systems that exceed customer expectations and achieve the highest quality.
Timely identification and communication of technical issues and risk.

What experience and skills do you need?

You will have a passion for creating quality products.
You will have considerable and demonstrable experience in design for manufacture.

Essential Requirements

Design of Power Electronics Systems.
Circuit Modelling and Simulation, SPICE, WEBENCH etc.
High-speed digital, analogue, optical electronics design.
Advanced knowledge of electronics design for embedded systems, microcontrollers and SoC application processors and DSPs.
Design of high accuracy AC/DC measurement systems.
5+ years CADStar PCB design highly preferable but other CAD packages also considered.
Ethernet Networked product design.
EMC testing and approvals.
FPGA, CPLD, VHDL/Verilog.
Reliability prediction MTBF.

Desirable Requirements

Experience in SCADA or Industrial Controls.
Experience in IIOT.
Experience in Electrical Systems and Power Distribution Networks.
Solidworks.
Fibre Optics.

Hours of Work: 36.25 (8.30am start- 4.30pm finish. 45 min lunch)
