Quantity Surveyor
The Company
You will have the opportunity to join a successful Independent Connections Provider (ICP) who specialise in high voltage electrical and civil engineering projects.
The company deals with a variety of LV and HV projects across the UK, ranging from 11kV to 132kV voltages in the renewable energy sector.
The Role
Your role will be to support the construction of projects as well as supporting the Commercial Team. The ideal candidate will be able to form professional relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers and work closely with them to keep to timescales and budget requirements.
You will also work closely on these projects with the Operations and Finance Directors.
Responsibilities

Negotiate and prepare contracts with various clients;
*
Measure and value works done on site;
*
Prepare monthly payment applications;
*
Track changes to the design and ensure all changes are reported;
*
Scrutinise site works completion with Project Managers;
*
Asses subcontractor applications;
*
Responsible for the budget control of projects with Senior Project Managers;
*
Prepare Early Warning Notices (EWNs);
*
Provide contract support to site Project Managers;
*
Support the legal department with preparation of subcontracts.
Requirements
*
5+ years experience of Construction industry - within renewables sector is desirable;
*
Stakeholder Management experience;
*
Have good commercial judgement and strong numeracy skills;
*
Ability to challenge information provided;
*
Ability to establish relationships with different members of the team and throughout the company as well;
*
A degree in a relevant subject graded 2:1 or higher.
Desirable
*
Advanced excel user;
*
Knowledge of NEC3, IET, FIDIC or JCT contracts;
*
Previous experience working for an ICP or developer on a renewable energy construction site;
