Our client is looking for four Catering Assistants to join their teams at their over 55’s schemes. The teams produce a range of healthy, balanced meals for village residents, guests and staff while maintaining a high standard of hygiene, health and safety and customer service. You’ll prepare, cook, present and deliver food to residents and help out with any ad-hoc kitchen duties too.

Job requirements:

• Providing nutritional, fresh, balanced food to a high standard considering dietary requirements guests might have.
• Making sure all food is presented and served correctly and that all temperature readings are recorded.
• Helping to produce new food dishes and contribute to menu ideas under the guidance of your team leader.
• Complying with all kitchen rules and standards by following food hygiene, allergen, COSHH, uniform, health and safety regulations and risk assessments.
• Monitoring all fridges and freezers making sure they are displaying the correct temperature.
• Keeping the kitchen equipment and utensils clean, making sure they adhere to the highest possible hygiene regulations.

• Industry knowledge and experience
• Flexibility and able to work throughout the week on a seven day rota including weekends and bank holidays
• Someone able to work under their own initiative
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Positive DBS check
