Gi Group are working on behalf of a local trust in the recruitment of an Entry Level - IT Support Technician.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to come and join an existing team as an entry level IT Technician. Training will be provided. Joining an existing team, the IT Support Technician would be responsible for providing first line Technical Support to multiple on-site IT users, combined with assisting with programming work. This role is a 9 month contract, ideally suited to somebody who would like to start or progress in an IT career. There is potential for the role to become permanent after this period.
IT Support Technician Job Details:
* Hours: Days, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Pay: GBP19,000 per annum
* Location: Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire
IT Support Technician Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all IT equipment and systems are operating as efficiently as possible.
* Supporting with IT operations
* Achievement of agreed service levels for user departments and customers
* Monitoring of IT systems to meet the growing need of the users
IT Support Technician Person Specification:
* Energetic, hardworking and enthusiastic personality
* Have a methodical and structured approach to your work
* Be a fast learner, in both technical and commercial areas
* Good interpersonal skills (when dealing with customers, colleagues and suppliers)
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* A good problem-solver, looks for solutions not obstructions
