Kennel Worker, Boarding Kennel and Cattery based in Warwick, National Minimum Wage (NMW).

The Company:

The Company is a well-established Boarding Kennels and Cattery in the heart of Warwickshire, and in 2019 was awarded 5 stars by WDC. The owner has over 50 years of experience and has owned the Company for over 30 years.

We are now looking for two Kennel Workers to support the day-to-day duties of caring for our animals. This is a part-time, permanent position, working up to 16 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm, two or more days a week including weekends and bank holidays with flexible working.

Kennel Worker Main Duties:

Cleaning the Kennels and Cattery ensuring a good standard of cleanliness.

Feeding and exercising the guests and house dogs at the Kennels.

Ensuring the guests and house dogs are well bathed and groomed.

Dealing with members of the public, handling money/cheques.

Administering medication to animals as necessary.

Keeping records of the guests' care in the Kennels.

General maintenance work, including keeping the grounds tidy and painting.

Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the Company.

Kennel Worker Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience working with dogs and animals is desirable.

Previous experience working within the Care Sector is desirable.

Full driving licence and access to own vehicle, or reliable transportation, is essential due to rural location.

Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative.

Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Ability to work with and handle all breeds of dogs.

Must be reliable and punctual.
