Siamo recruitment is partnering with a family run business located in close proximity to Cirencester who are looking to on board a Cook. Reporting into the Kitchen Manager and Head Cook, you will be responsible for preparation and cooking of all food and ensure customers are happy.
Why Join:
Salary: GBP9.12 per hour
40 hours per week
5 days from 7 - inclusive of weekends.
Currently, working days are Tuesday to Saturday (inclusive).
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
Cooking and food preparation in a high-volume establishment.
Basic understanding of health, hygiene and health and safety standards.
NVQ Level 2/3 in food preparation and cookery or equivalent qualification.
Level 2 award in Food Safety or equivalent qualification.
The ability to work under pressure to manage periods of high demand as well as low demand.
The ability to work on your own or part of a team.
Excellent verbal communications skills.
Organisation and time management skills.
Basic IT skills, including word, excel and tablets.
Other Flexible attitude to working hours Values.
Role Purpose and Role Details:
The preparation and cooking of all food on the menu for daily sales, including sandwiches.
To comply with all Food hygiene policies.
Control of all food leaving the kitchen meets quality and presentational standards.
Full responsibility for the cleaning of the kitchen.
Monitoring and guiding staff whilst working in the kitchen.
To ensure food preparation areas are clean and tidy.
Ensure stock rotation and stock takes are completed.
To ensure all equipment used is safe and clean.
To maintain a professional appearance whilst at work
