From humble beginnings of supplying just one product, they have grown into a large enterprise, sourcing globally and serving the best of the UK and European retailers. Their philosophy has not changed during this period of rapid growth with quality and innovation, from breeding programmes to supply chain development being at the heart of everything they do. They have now reached a key trigger stage of their growth. They are looking for a unique individual to join them as Commercial Manager for their Digital Channels.
Putting customers first, you will be tasked to support the development and implementation of commercial strategies across a portfolio of existing online customers, building true partnership relationships and taking responsibility for commercial performance. They want you to work with their existing customers to build business plans to achieve sustainable growth, including a whole raft of new product launches and range reviews.
What Else Is Involved and What We Need from You:
* Taking the lead on their rapidly increasing digital customer base, spotting opportunities, and exploring and securing new relationships to create commercial value.
* In collaboration with the Insight team deliver regular reporting to help improve performance and to inform decision making.
* Experience in, and a passion for, the online/digital space to deliver value and quality for all.
* A strong understanding of commercial performance and what levers a business can be used to influence that performance.
* Ability to clearly convey relevant updates to senior management.
* Proven project management skills are required, which demonstrate your take great care in your work to deliver.
* Proactive and Flexible - able to take responsibility to get things done and willing to 'roll up your sleeves and' get stuck in whenever needed.
* Take on overall responsibility for customer relationship management for new products, engaging the product developer in proactive ways to build the relationship and where possible influence the direction of development.
* Working closely with the broader commercial team present current and new category concepts to customers backed up by rationale.
* Play a key role in the planning and execution of range reviews with stakeholders.
Your Experience to Date:
* Great presentation skills
* Digital marketing understanding advantageous.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Experience of delivering customer presentations.
* Experience of online sales,
* The ability to recognise opportunities and convert sales.
* The ability to maintain and develop multiple customer relationships.
* Proactive approach with a determination to deliver excellence for the customer and our organisation.
* Determination to prove your capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
