Examinations Officer
Part Time – 15 hours per week
Salary: £22 843 to £24 878 pro rata
Exeter Maths School is an Ofsted Outstanding, state funded, 6th form, jointly sponsored by the University of Exeter and Exeter College. The school is open to students from across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. We also work extensively with students and teachers in other schools, inspiring enthusiasts for maths, physics and computing across the region.
We are seeking to appoint new Examinations Officer to join us in September who will be responsible for managing and administrating all public and admissions exams in addition to supporting teachers with internal assessments. The current postholder is our Clerk to Governors and will be continuing in that role and therefore able to ease the transition for the new member of staff.
We’re a small school with every member of staff being flexible in their role to support one another. The successful candidate will be positive and self-motivated with excellent organisational and administrative skills. She/he will be able to work efficiently and accurately with a keen attention to detail. The ability to flex working hours during the examination season will be essential.
The post holder will work closely with the School’s SENCO, teachers and administrative staff to ensure that students have a positive experience during examinations, that all exams run smoothly and that appropriate access arrangements are made for those with SEND.
Additional benefits include flexible working hours outside of examination time, the opportunity to join the local government pension scheme and the option of combining this role with others that are currently being advertised.
EMS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all members of staff to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory DBS checks, together with the receipt of references.
