Assistant Greenkeeper
An exciting position has become available for an Assistant Greenkeeper based in St Helens. The successful candidate will earn GBP19,926 before tax.
The position is for a full-time employee and also includes overtime and Bank Holiday duties all paid at overtime rates.
Hours of work for Summer will be 6am-2:30pm and in winter 7am-3:30pm. There will be a 45-minute break and weekend work will be required.
The winter rota (October-April) will consist of a Saturday and Sunday once a month, with no more than two and a half hours work each day. The summer rota (April to October) will consist of a Saturday and Sunday shift, once a month for four hours at a time and every other Saturday, again, four hours at a time.
Role Requirements
Good levels of operating modern machinery
Good time management and communication skills
Positive attitude and good work ethic.
Flexible approach to working hours and weekend work
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
An understanding of the game of golf
PA1, PA2, PA6 preferred but not essential
Role Responsibilities
The Greens Staff are responsible for maintaining all aspects of the course to a high level.
Company
Established in 1891, our client is a Golf Club based in Saint Helens. The Club has a thriving membership and is well known to golfers in the local area and has progressed to hold prestige's events like this year's English Men's Senior County Championship finals.
The successful candidate will receive the following benefits:
