Teaching Assistant

Required for September 2021: Teaching Assistant at Plaistow Hill Infant and Nursery School

Monday - Friday term time only, working 8.15-12.15 (20 hours) 39 weeks Grade C Points 5-7 (Actual salary £8,940 - £9,301) until 22^nd July 2022 in the first instance.  This post will be to support a Y1 child with communication needs.

 You will be:

• Experienced in working with young children with an awareness of SEND practices including EHC plans
• Able to work closely with teachers to deliver intervention and support
• An excellent communicator and have at least C grade English and maths at GCSE or equivalent
• Able to work consistently well as part of a team for the benefit of the children and the school
• Very good at developing relationships with parents and carers
• Able to draw upon positive behaviour management strategies and be calm and patient
• Creative and able to play an active role in building a safe, happy learning environment with the children’s well-being and progress at the heart of all you do
