Akton Resourcing are working with the Local Authorities to fill a contract position for an Administrator based within their Adults Safeguarding Team. This role would be to provide administrative support to the team and social workers particularly around maintaining and taking responsibility for inputting safeguarding referral data. This is initially an ongoing contract position paying GBP11.40PH.

Experience as an administrator within Local Authorities and ideally Social Care would be advantageous for this post.

Responsibilities-

To process all safeguarding referrals, on to the Adult Social Care IT system LiquidLogic (LAS), received within the Safeguarding Adults and Professional Standards Team accurately and in a timely manner
To attend Derby Safeguarding Adults Board and it's Subgroup(s) and make accurate record of discussions that take place at the meeting, ensuring that actions have been recorded
Produce records of meetings for agreement and verification by the Chair of the meeting in a timely manner
Provide clerical/ administrative support to the Safeguarding Adults and Professional Standards Team processing, photocopying, scanning, indexing, distribution of mail, use of email and operating of office equipment as necessary
Provide administrative support for MARAC duties, ensuring that all referrals are updated on customer records
Respond to enquiries in person or by telephone regarding safeguarding referrals, referring callers to relevant staff/department
To monitor the Online Training Booking Tool system and to respond to emails/telephone calls from users of the system
To update relevant IT databases to include spreadsheets and LAS
To raise purchase orders on Oracle Financial System
To process any requests received for the Vulnerable Witness Interviews
Provide administrative support for the MCA/DOLS and other discreet activities managed within the team
To meet and greet visitors
Participate in the induction of new employees and trainees as required
Actively participate in the GPC scheme
Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and promote a positive health and safety culture
Understand and comply with the City Council's environmental policies
Work with information technology and associated systems in accordance with Authority's policies and procedures
