Job description for Fixed Wire Testing Engineer
• This role involves conducting fixed wire testing and completing laptop-based EICR reports, mainly for large commercial organisations.
• You will complete emergency light testing and occasional remedial work, as well as thermographic surveys (full training will be provided).
• All work must be completed in accordance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (18th Edition training will be provided for the right candidate).
• Regular travel will be required within the Northern region. Requirements for the Fixed Wire Testing Engineer
• At least 1 year of testing experience in a similar environment
• C&G 2391 or 2394/95 qualified
• C&G 2360, 2330 (or equivalent) Level 3 in Electrical installations
• C&G 2382, 18th Edition qualified (18th edition training can be provided)
• Full current driving license
• You will enjoy a varied working pattern (whilst some days are 9am-5pm, others will require you to complete the testing out of hours or, occasionally, at weekends)
• You will ideally live in the Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield or Wakefield area as this is central to the region but we can be flexible
• Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative and have a good attention to detail
• You will have a positive attitude, a flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to clients' needs.
